I *think* based on the one photo I've seen of it, that it just fell out of the drywall or whatever in the ceiling. So hopefully it's just putting the whole thing back in place. Idk!

i work in facility service and 6 or 7 of my 10 years so far in this industry was working with auto shops and their overhead doors. one of those springs snapping sounds like a shotgun being fired. i implore you to not be near one should that occur.
