I had a woman come into work this week looking for help for food and a bus pass (not unusual). She brought in like 3 bags with her and as she was explaining her situation to me she said, “everyone keeps thinking I’m homeless. I just carry all of my things with me all the time.”

Later in the conversation she said she was, in fact, homeless. Surprise.
