Caleb Williams will win the Heisman and he absolutely should but Penix deserves to be a finalist and he won’t be….dumb.

 

Randomly scrolling through team records by year since 2003 (that’s as far back as ESPN goes) and do you know which teams have had a winning record every year since 2003?

Wisconsin, Boise State and Oklahoma.

WI and OK and both are 6-6 and could have that end if they lose their bowl games.

Oklahoma isn’t surprising but Wisconsin is, and while I haven’t looked through all division 1 teams, I’m surprised there aren’t more.

Alabama had losing seasons in 03, 06
Ohio State in 11
Clemson in 10
Georgia in 10
LSU in 21
USC in 18, 21 (thought they’d have more)
Notre Dame in 03, 05, 10, 16, 17

 

The AP rankings having Alabama one spot in front of Tennessee, LSU/FSU, Oregon/OrSt with identical records and a head-to-head win by the lower ranked team in each pairing is honestly impressive. Like. I know it’s point accumulation, but that’s an easy auto-adjustment protocol to institute to at least look credible.

Luke fickell and Jim leonard have similar offensive acumen I’d imagine….which is not much. All depends on who each would hire as OC

I feel like Freeze is about as good as a fit for Auburn as it gets. Imagine this shady ass dude in the age of NIL. Also, the guy has a clause in his contract where he can’t use Twitter bc the background check brought up some weird shit while he was at Liberty. lol

With that said, I think he’s an elite offensive mind. Saban wanted to hire this dude in the prime of his toxic reputation, I think after Daboll left.
