Defense was such a huge letdown but I still don’t get the super quick whistle on the fumble that would have sealed the game for Bama. Tenn was getting tons of extra yards all night and that’s the one time they stopped it quick.

 

And the required fire Bill O’Brien for calling 3 pass plays when you’re in FG range under 30 seconds. At least make them burn the TOs or run down the clock so you get to end it.

 

I've been saying this for the past 20 minutes! Even I, a football fan with intermediate football knowledge, knew to bring the clock down to practically nothing before attempting that FG... bc if we fucking miss it (which felt certain based on the way Reichard has been lately) that means one chunk play and a FG wins the game for Vols. Fucking stupid, man. Like, I shouldn't be smarter than Alabama's OC, but I am by a longshot.

Like, BoB is absolutely the biggest fucking loser to be involved with this program we've ever had. I don't like to blame Saban for anything bc of everything he's done, but holy shit stop bringing in these scrub ass assistants.

The 15 minutes of shots that the post-game show gave us to follow that process were hilarious

 

I do want to say that despite venting a lot of my frustration with how Bama ended that game, Tenn is a great team and definitely deserved to win. That offense is so explosive and they did a great job of protecting Hooker. It was mentioned during the broadcast but that game reminded me a lot of the 2019 Bama/LSU game where either team could have won and it really was a who makes the last mistake. Congrats Tenn on capitalizing when you had the chance!

 

Very random but something I always think of after an upset - I feel bad for any Tennessee student or fan (especially on or around campus) that woke up today sick or with a migraine or some shit. Of all the days to feel bad and you just watched a great game and you know everyone is gonna be celebrating until tomorrow at this time and you’re sick or some shit and either can’t participate at all or are at least somewhat suffering - although I’m sure most push through with alcohol / drugs but still lol of all the days!

I am absolutely buzzing. I haven’t had alcohol since 1pm and I am OVER THE MOON. I experienced 19 stages of grief and 20 stages of elation that game. What a damn great game. AND WE WON IT. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
