I read the differences between the deluxe version and the standard, but what exactly are the points and the three player and team packs?

Madden fifa and nhl all have ultimate team. You build your own team and players get upgraded as the season progresses. It’s a huge pay to win mode in ea sports games. It’s how they make their money

Seeing people say there’s some animations ripped straight from madden. I don’t care. That little clip of army around like 1:17 looks like fucking real life lol

 

My first thought went to the points being for the alt uniforms. Seems like something EA would make a paid add-on.

 

The points are to buy packs in the ultimate team mode. Madden nhl and fifa have been doing this for years

 

This is nhl ultimate team from when the year starts to what a team would look like in April

Picture one is likely from Someone who doesn’t spend money on the game
Picture two is likely from someone who has spend $100s or $1000s in the game mode

Do facilities degrade over time? Would love to see the ability to add onto stadiums over time. Always awful to build a power house in a 15,000-20,000 seater or something.

 

Doubt it’s in the game but I’d love to also see dynamic crowds. I’d love to see a thin crowd when it’s a boring uncompetitive out of conference game versus a rivalry game.

I had something like 60 straight wins at home with Sacramento State but their stadium was tiny, so it would pack out but it'd never be one of the "toughest places to play" and I couldn't upgrade it

 

The crowd used to thin out on like ps2 days. Crazy they didn’t carry that to modern day.

 

This would be cool, but my lean is probably not. I feel like I read a while ago that they were focusing on making the foundation of the game good and where it should be and that some of the other bells and whistles may wait until future versions. They seemed really focused on getting teams, stadiums, chants, fight songs, and game day atmospheres correct, along with gameplay from what I was reading. I am just adjusting my expectations accordingly on some of the extras for this first iteration.
