Except it wasn't the first time ever it was literally the same thing that happens almost every year. And no, refusing to argue in good faith with someone providing logic and reason and instead opting to make fun of and insult them is a much worse look. The normal thing to do is not treat people like that in the first place

idk, it’s an especially weird dynamic because UGA is Tech’s primary rival and Tech is UGA’s #4 rival in my opinion (behind Florida, Bama in recent years, and Auburn) so there’s a bit of ‘I hate you vs I don’t care about you’ energy

seems like a bigger rivalry if you’re over the age of like 40 and now is just a thing that happens

 

Oh yeah the Florida game is certainly much bigger than the Tech game. The lead up to that feels like an event itself haha

 

idk if it felt this way for you too, but during my years, the Tech game felt like a non-event just about every year because it was the Friday after Thanksgiving. Going to the game meant cutting your Thanksgiving break 3 days short so half of the people I would normally go to games with wouldn’t go to that one

The only people I knew who went to the Tech games were band or media people haha. The game was definitely more of an afterthought
