Mickey Joseph rightfully serving as interim. Very curious to see if he can turn things around

I don’t have any feelings toward this decision except for I want @CarpetElf to be happy

I just wish we could relegate Nebraska and leave them in the 20th century where the program belongs (and thrived)

I think the Big Ten would be infinitely more interesting if Nebraska was good. But I also have lingering 1997 Orange Bowl feelings so also lol

Bob Stoops & Hawkeye Coach Fran McCaffery got tricked into trolling Hawks OC Brian Ferentz.

I think I’d rather stay at Iowa state. Same challenges, lower expectations.

I think with how week the West is (for now) and the budget increase that would come from the new tv deal would be the biggest reasons for taking the job. I also don’t think the bar is as high at this point. I think consistent bowl appearances where every so often you are in the west running would be acceptable there. I think someone like Campbell could do that. Just a question if they want to. I could see it as a refreshing springboard for his career.

"BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (September 14, 2022) - The Southeastern Conference has directed the University of Georgia and the University of Tennessee to postpone scheduled football games versus Oklahoma because the transition of Oklahoma into the SEC will not allow for the involved institutions to fulfill their respective contractual non-conference home-and-home appearance obligations.

Because the second non-conference game in each of the Georgia-Oklahoma and Tennessee-Oklahoma series is scheduled to take place after Oklahoma joins the SEC in 2025, the Conference is directing the postponement of the Georgia at Oklahoma game in 2023 and the Oklahoma at Tennessee game in 2024 until such time that those matchups become part of the Conference rotation of games in future years."

Plenty of time to schedule it, but that makes Tennessee need to find two OOC in 2024 and 2025 still. We've got a home/home wiht Nebraska in 26/27. Georgia needs to find one for 2023, too.

The TV contract stuff is 100% valid. College athletics is full of boosters with brain rot who think they're as good as they've ever been, so I doubt Nebraska boosters would settle for bowl games. Maybe initially, though, that would work. I get why he'd take it but to me Nebraska is just a shit job.

I agree it’s a tough job now. Not much in terms of recruiting to fall back on. Perhaps I’m naive in thinking Nebraska would be fine with bowls, but I feel most would take back the Pelini years if they could. Different admin and people of course, but his tenure looks much better in hindsight.

NDSU is 2pt favorites against Arizona. Don’t see FCS schools favored against a power 5 school often. Kickoff is 11pm est lol

Whenever I think of football in Arizona, I immediately think of garbage. It could be Arizona, Arizona State, NFL cardinals…. If I haven’t paid attention to your team, I’m just gonna assume you suck ass.

I hate that Muschamp is on Georgia’s staff and gets to be a winner.
