every SEC team has a permanent rival in the other division based on historic rivalry (Bama-Vols, Auburn-Georgia in this case), and the other six rotate in every ~six years.

 

They do play Georgia in the regular season every few years. 2020 most recently.

 

Can’t be mad that was a good effort and there were some bad decisions that could’ve made a difference, 1 point deficit I can live with

 

Tennessee is starting this game as slowly as I expected. Woof.

 

Yeah, I guess I forgot 2020. That structure makes sense but I don’t love it, six years seems like quite a long time to go between games against another team in your conference

for sure. my buddy who went to lsu and I were talking recently how weird it is that Tennessee hasn’t been to baton rouge since the infamous 13 men on the field final play like 13 years ago

Somehow they are always baffled when they play teams that don't run it up the middle every play.

Agreed. I hate that the rankings are largely relative to the previous week, and the initial rankings are pretty much made up in the first place
