Geographically (if that matters anymore) the acc is screwed. The big10 and sec are obviously the premiere conferences of the eastern and Central time zones.

Theres really no teams the acc can add to improve their stock. Even if they were proactive and got ucf, cincy, wvu, Memphis, while those programs are solid, they're not needle movers

Notre Dame is the only bullet the acc has that can save them.

Acc adds Notre Dame, uconn (16 teams)
    Big10, sec has 16 teams
Big 12 adds Arizona, Arizona st, Colorado (16 teams)

That leaves 7 pac teams. They either add Boise, sdsu, Fresno, unlv, Nevada (or do Gonzaga, st marys bball....and 2 other teams for football)

Or fold the league and configure the country into 4 conferences with 18 teams.

Big 12 would have to add more more team to make 16 since we lose Texas and Oklahoma after this year.

The ACC should not be allowed to add a team from fucking Indiana

With all of this realignment and clearly CFB is heading toward a full reshuffling of conferences from top to bottom they should scrap all the conference affiliation as is a make it pro-rel moving forward.

Am I miscounting? I'm saying with the addition of Colorado, Arizona, Arizona state.... ah that's 15 you're right. They would have to add utah or Memphis or San Diego state in my scenario.

Theres something about Memphis that I'm surprised hasn't gotten mentioned to league up. Seems like a decent market. Decent enough program

Yeah that's definitely where we're heading. I don't get why the big schools, big conferences and big networks don't just come together on their yachts and get to it already.

Now rumors about Oregon. Wash. Stanford and California going to big10.

    Fsu wants out.

Shits getting ramped up. Looks like the buffaloes was the final straw? Or at least, the demise of the pac is what's really setting all this up. I can't even hypothesize at this point.

Either big12 unless byu fights tooth and nail against it

Or they're fucked like Oregon St and wash St and get left behind

  10. Apparently FSU’s BOR met today and all that happened is they took turns trashing the ACC and saying they need to get out lol

Arizona St and Utah has to be all but next. Aren't Arizona and AS St connected or something like that?

Wash State and Oregon state are fuckkkkkkkkkked. I thought Stanford and Cal might be screwed too but if they're gonna be part of the BigTen West thing then maybe not. I just don't see Wash St and Oregon St being sexy enough for any conference

I see them OSU and Wazzu jointing Mountain West unfortunately. I don’t see any other option.

I also don’t see why Big Ten would want Cal. They have sucked at Football and Basketball for a long time lol

    The rivalry is back on

Also because the conferences care too much about media markets, as if adding Cal meant that you’d get all the eyes in San Francisco watching B1G games

  17. academics and "the atl media market" (as if they put a dent in it lol) are the only things keeping my delusional ass believing tech is getting a b1g invite..lol

Tech is more likely to go to the Sun Belt then Big 10.

Beavs and Cougs to the Mountain West probably makes the most sense, gonna feel very weird though.
Can't imagine not playing the beavs last regular season game every year

i tore a hole in the fabric of time Moderator

Was curious what an (almost) even distribution of the P5 teams would look like and randomly moved a few teams. We should go back to 10 team conferences where everyone plays everyone every year instead of this nonsense.

SEC (17): Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt

Big 10 (17): Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers, UCLA, USC, Wisconsin

Big 12 (17): Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, BYU, Cincinnati, Colorado, FSU, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Miami, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech, UCF, Utah

Pac-Acc (18): Boston College, Cal, Duke, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Miami, UNC, NC State, Cal, Oregon, Oregon State, Pitt, Stanford, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Washington, Washington State

Yeah, I absolutely hate that part of this realignment. I could see them still playing at the end of the season though like Florida-FSU and Georgia-Georgia Tech.
