I know a lot of the immediate reaction to the title game was “TCU didn’t deserve to be there” / “expanded playoff weeds this result out sooner” and some other takes and idk. We’re always going to have these kind of title games. Look at all the Super Bowls that have been blow outs. Just having a larger field of teams doesn’t “fix” it to having great title games. Think sports is just one of those where there are too many variables or erratic things that can happen in a season / game to get a great result each time and that’s part of the fun and the “what if” that comes with it.

“Expanded playoff weeds this out sooner” is such a silly argument lol. Bigger field = more variability = more chance for less good teams to slip through the cracks, which is basically the argument for doing it (other than the whole more money thing, which is always the reason for playoff expansion)

No need for a hot take. TCU had a hell of a run and deserved to be there. Georgia smoked the shit out of them because Georgia is the best team in the country and were ready to go right at kickoff. No let up. Thats it

There are blowouts in championships sometimes. It happens.

I already said it but i thought TCU being here was fun and unique. I couldn't take anymore clemson/bama finals

At full strength Ohio State is a better team than Georgia.

Nah. They had them on the ropes and couldn't finish the job. Results are results and now uga just nabbed back to back titles.

I've been a UGA fan my whole life and it certainly has been special watching these past two seasons. I've done my best to try to take it all in and enjoy it. You never know how long these runs will last in college football and it could be a long time before you're back in the position they've recently been in. A really special group and an unbelievable job by the recruiting, scouting and coaching staff as well.

No way, the Buckeyes outplayed them for most of the game. AND they weren’t at full strength.

And it was basically a home game for Georgia.

Georgia had plenty of injuries too, including having their best defensive player on the sideline and one of their top tight ends basically unusable for the entire game. Cmon man.

Now that the season is over, what was everyone’s favorite games of the season?

    Tennessee-Alabama
    Tulane-USC
    Georgia-Ohio State

Are probably my top three that I watched. Arkansas-Kansas looked the most nuts/fun by box score that I didn’t watch. LSU-Bama, TCU-Baylor, Oregon-Oregon State were other fun ones I enjoyed.

I’m not particularly bullish on CU in year 1 with Coach Prime, but 3-3 feels very doable in those first 6
