Follow up, I just found that ESPN Australia has been doing 30 minute recaps of some of the bigger games. Which is pretty great since I can usually only catch one live a day since they start so early.

Honestly, the hilarity of calling France a third-world country aside (ignoring the outdated term too), I don't disagree. I love watching FIBA basketball, but I understand why most fans don't care. It's not exciting when the favorite to win the competition rarely brings its A-team. The rest of the world is catching up, but it's going to take Team USA losing a few major competitions (mainly the Olympics) and with a higher caliber team before fans really start to tune in.

That and FIBA should maybe be more cooperative with the two highest level leagues (NBA & Euroleague) and maybe try to think more creatively than "let's just copy what FIFA does".

As long as they’re trying to win and compete he’s gonna stay. If they go the route of a rebuild in a few years then yeah he’s likely gonna dip
