Fuck the Lakers.

 

LeBron choosing to waste away his last few years on the shitty Lakers is such an odd way to end his career.

 

I mean it’s clear he just wants to live in California, play with his son, and have zero expectations. I think it sucks and a waste but it is what it is.

 

Personally, after a decade of the NBA Finals being the Lebron James invitational, I'm pretty happy to see him just chill in L.A. and let the playoffs be for the newer generation of stars.

 

maybe the celtics should have been better when LeBron was in the east

 

I was in high school man, who cares at this point

 

I think I finally have a handle on the first apron/second apron and how it'll affect the Sixers the rest of the offseason. What I think they'll do:

* Trade Hield to GSW for a second round pick or two and then renounce the trade exception.
* Waive Paul Reed.
* Use the $8.9 million they have to sign a starting PF (Caleb Martin?).
* Re-sign Kyle Lowry.
* Re-sign KJ Martin to some sort of balloon deal, which will be used with their picks to upgrade the team by the deadline.
* Round out the rest of the roster with all vet minimums (wouldn't mind Cam Payne or RoCo returning, depending on the latter's health).

That will keep them under the first apron and for now, preserve their stash of picks. It'll keep them competitive at the third or fourth spot in the East until the trade deadline, where they can make another decent-sized move.

All the money in the world, all the accolades in the world, why not just sit back and enjoy it now? I don’t get why people are so mad about it (not saying you are). I think anyone would do the same. And I’m saying that as a LeBron hater.

On the plus side, as a Lakers hater I’m not mad about them not living up to their full potential one bit lol

 

I kind of can’t believe this will be LeBron’s 7th season with the Lakers. It does not feel like it’s been that long.
