yeah this is where I’m at. really cool circumstance but kinda embarrassing to draft someone that under any other circumstances goes undrafted.

unless he makes giant leaps, there’s a good chance he’s out of the league shortly after Lebron retires

 

but it’s also like the 55th pick in a draft so ultimately nobody should really care

Oh sure, everyone does it and I’ve laughed at Thanasis plenty for example. It’s just actually using a draft pack and threatening every other team in the league is an extra level of “whoah” for a dude who legitimately can not play haha

 

55? Why not take a swing? It's a late 2nd rounder, most of them never play.

 

For the record, Bronny James can play. Not a starter level or anything like that. But I would have drafted that dude at 55 based on what he put on tape before the heart issue derailed his USC tenure.

I’d expect him to settle into a nice 3rd or 4th guard role.

 

Id personally rather think of it as making your star player happy, which is fine for teams to care about, as opposed to actually taking a swing.
