I think it was a condition of the sale. I can’t remember fully but it may have already been announced then that he would only fulfill those duties until the season was over.

 

Nico has done really well so far and it’ll be nice to not have the owner dictating things. I think Cuban got in the way a lot throughout the years and got supremely lucky inheriting Dirk and getting Luka.

I’m just gonna be happy for now.

The Celtics are def set up for success having two stars in their prime. Being able to return the entire team is huge. Ideally Jrue doesn’t regress and KP can get healthy and maybe they can add a true backup center. They’re certainly in position to contend next year but I wouldn’t call them an obvious lock by any means.

Mavs have a path back for sure. Have to like what you saw out of Lively.

 

I’m the most excited about him right now. What he did as a rookie in the playoffs was awesome to watch. I love that Tyson Chandler is mentoring him and training him.

 

I think losing helped mature Tatum and Brown a lot. If the same happens for Luka he’ll be a massive problem.

 

At least they appear to not be much for the limelight like Cuban was so hopefully we don’t have to know they exist most of the time. Patrick Dumont was awkward af when they won the west and he had to talk during the ceremony.

 

Yeah you guys had to go through some heartbreak to get back. I can empathize with it after getting to watch Dirks path back in the day.
