people have been running with the story that boston purposefully shelved him and he was ready last series. that seems stupid lol. play him in game 5 so he can get some reps before diving into the deep end with the nba finals???

  2. Eh I kinda buy that. Not so much they shelved him, but if they were down in the series or if it went to 7 he could have played. But no sense in risking further injury imo.

    Got a light?

Coming back if he was ready in game 5 knowing the series was likely over and knowing he’d have all this time off again I think it’s possible they said let’s just get him in practices and give him more rest in between

I really don't understand why they want a guy with 0 coaching experience lol.

It’s funny how there’s no minimum job experience requirement to be an NBA head coach… but then again there’s none to be president of the country either… where do I put in my application when Pop retires?

    Hilarious hire

  9. That anyone believed Lebron would have no input in the coaching hire is hilarious to me

  10. I think he has a chance to be quite good. Would love for him to prove people wrong, again, and exceed expectations.

Wish it wasn't with the Lakers.

Guy with no cache as a coach who won’t be able to overrule LeBron, I am not surprised

Man, Sam Cassell has been an assistant coach for like 15 years and he keeps getting overlooked despite constantly being in the running for HC gigs. Bro must be pissed lol.

Going back to the topic of forgetting weird teammates for a moment - Dwayne Wade and Jimmy Butler played together in Chicago. Never knew that overlap happened, guess I assumed Butler was in Minnesota by that point.

(and Rondo but he doesn’t stand out to me since he’s been everywhere)

JJ can probably be good but it’s just funny how it’s like guy that has never coached before gets the biggest opportunity… like what if he’s a good coach but the drama of it all just ruins his coaching career. But then again it’s the NBA and like the same 5 guys who always lose still get jobs
