I think people are overthinking this due to how weak the east was this year and Boston not being tested thru the playoffs yet. The Celtics are much, much better than Dallas and I expect them to whomp in this series.

Every photo of Shaq in a Celtics jersey looks photoshopped to me

they haven't been "tested" yet and yet won three of the indy games without haliburton by a combined 11 points

I think people are thinking about it the appropriate amount and not being impressed by a team that was supposed to be a world beater squeaking by a banged up sixth seed and obliterating worse teams with bigger injuries. dallas took out the 1 seed and beat the team that everyone was saying had the next jordan and beat the champs and most of the games weren't close. there is reason to doubt this boston team. the best thing they have going in their favor is they seem to play to the level of their competition, so maybe now they'll be good for once lol.

  4. also Dallas has the best closing duo in the NBA and we've seen how Boston's duo closes games at times lol

  5. I think the other thing the Celtics have going in their favor is that games 3 and 4 were so very much the type of game they'd lose in the past. Obviously the Pacers are bad and without Haliburton but they actually played pretty decently in those last 5 minute, score is close situations which has been their achilles heel historically. So maybe they've figured a little something out there.

yeah indy's defense was actually notably better without Hali but when you're relying on Andrew Nembhard as your main shot-maker, sorry, I'm not going to throw a parade for the other team when they get beat

If we're not gonna let the Lakers "competitive sweep" talk fly we're not gonna have that when it makes another team we hate look bad. They won every game, they kicked their ass.

eh. saying it was a competitive sweep is different when you’re talking about the favorite v. the underdog. but point taken.

  9. The thing that really worried me about the Pacers series was Al's defense. He was having some trouble. But obviously getting KP back reduces his role back to I think where it should be.

  10. Def less of a "good job everyone!" and more of "congrats on actually not shitting yourself for a change, maybe you've learned to hold it until you get home" thing lol

The 94-95 Spurs included David Robinson, Moses Malone, Doc Rivers, Terry Cummings, and Dennis Rodman.

a few years later we had Dominique Wilkins

  12. Currently listening to a Milwaukee Bucks fan declaring Tatum > Giannis lol

    youre with drew?

  14. Lol, no. Someone who I think actually has worse takes than Drew. Normally he's trying to whack around Celtics fans but today he's buttering them up.

I love how our identity changed after the deadline, but I'm worried about this matchup in general, especially if KP does come back.

All in all, the fact that we did this with barely half a season worth of time together (with players being injured for stretches) makes me really excited for the next 2 years (DJJ is the only "core" guy not under contract after this year for the next couple of years).

There's an element of synergy and team chemistry that can't be understated. I have flashbacks to that team in 2011. Just a rag tag group of guys from bad franchises pairing up with an all-world talent and getting it done while going through some insane teams.

    Just happy to be here

  19. They can fucking shove it. I'd live my life without my team ever winning another game again for the right price lol

I am also curious to see the energy level of the teams after the break. And if the break gives Luka some more juice in his legs

I’m leaning Boston in 6, but I think people might be overestimating the return of porzingis. Dude hasn’t played in 40 days and isn’t exactly a known playoff performer
