White will be a free agent next offseason. I'd imagine the Celtics will want to keep his reasonable contract on the books, but I doubt they'll work an extension. Way too much committed money already.

He'd be the perfect guy to pair with Suggs (or Maxey), though.

 

I mean if Maxey springs free, I think that could be really fun.

white is very good but they need a more consistent scorer who can create his own shot. this is one of the best - if not the best - season in white's career and he averaged 15pts on 46/39 %s. he would further their identity as one of the best defenses in the league but he would not really help their offense from being absolute booty

 

Derrick White should come home to SA.

I swear whoever is scheduling the Cavs playoff games is looking directly at my son’s 9U baseball schedule and picking the same exact time and dates (sans next Saturday night). Goddamn, man.

Anyway, my brain is telling me Boston in 4 but my heart is thinking Cavs could *maybe* steal Game 1 and I’m not sure Cavs fans let us lose at home on Saturday.

I’m curious to see how the Cavs play now that there is zero pressure or expectations. It’ll be the first time in a long time they can just play loose and free.

a 6'2 and 6'4 backcourt isn't ideal but yeah in terms of what he'd fill for the team that'd be great

 

im pretty against the bucks making some big move. the two best players were hurt most the playoffs and the three best players played together like 8 games after the all-star. i'd prefer the bucks trying to build with youth through the draft. but it could be worse than white

 

Basically what the Celtics got now. It’s a little different because Dame is a defensive liability and Jrue isn’t whereas Dame is needed to score and Jrue isn’t but I think he’d be a big help.

I mean.. I still don't trust him fully. He's done a lot to ease my frustrations the last part of the season into the playoffs, but I've seen what he did at other stops in his coaching career.

It's hard to argue with how he's turned this team around from all of the injuries this season and gotten our trade pieces into place immediately (and making a huge impact!), while boosting our defensive prowess. The team clearly loves him and buys in, and I guess that's ultimately what is important. I just wish he took more accountability as a coach.

 

Klay could be a nice get for the Magic, but who knows how he looks in another system, let alone health wise. George would probably be a smart tee choice. Another name that could be a nice fit is Malik Monk.
