  1. Isn’t the league minimum over a million? I don’t think any of them are doing any of that themselves.

A very quick google search shows around 80 players making less than 1 million this season, lowest being 268K which could/should be enough to hire someone to help take care of all that kind of stuff but I guess that also depends on how good someone is with their money. Not totally comparable, but someone I used to work with made around 315K a year after taxes and didn’t hire someone to cover that stuff because they claimed they couldn’t afford it, somehow lol

268K a year is a lot better when you can count on getting that for the rest of your working life, which athletes can't

If you have an Athletic subscription or a way around the paywall, these are some good reads, albeit a different sport. I'd imagine the NBA teams have more resources, but probably still some differences in how each team prioritizes this area. All three are good reads on this topic.

I wish whoever is in charge of Cameroon's basketball team could have convinced him and Siakam to play together. They would have had to go through the qualifying tournament, but that would have been a fun team!

It's a miracle they were able to keep him duct-taped together for the entire season and playoffs (even though he was atrocious in the finals)

  16. Do the Clippers think Mann is going to just blossom into a star or something? He's almost 27 years old and averaged 9 points a game last year. This is likely his peak.

  17. Why would anyone want Harden? Oh, it's the Clippers, I get it now.

I bet they promised him a signature model or something. He's been wearing Kobes forever, which is like brand loyalty within brand royalty, so this is interesting.
