MVP discourse is the dumbest shit on the internet and I think I'm done trying to understand the disrespect Luka gets. As long as people like Stephen A. Smith have a legitimate vote, I can't take it seriously.

 

I think there are several very deserving players of the award, mind you. I just am really fucking sick of people acting like what Luka did this season isn't worthy.

 

All that being said, it's Jokic and that's okay.

It’s Jokic and it shouldn’t be close. I put SGA over Luka but that’s debatable, those being the next two makes sense. As does Tatum on a historically great Celtics team being above Giannis on a historically underwhelming Bucks team.

 

Jokic has had it locked since Embiid got hurt. There was never gonna be another outcome after last year. So many media members turned on Joel after giving it to him that they all felt the need to right the ship or some corny ass thing like that. He deserves it tho.

Hey what’s the best way to watch playoffs this year that’s not pirating them? I keep seeing ads for Fubo but I’d never heard of it before.

 

It's clear there isn't actually a common method of evaluating these guys, so it turns into a popularity contest where glaring bias creeps it's way into every aspect of the voters' decision making. I'm not oblivious to this being an issue everywhere, but with the current state of sports media, it's pretty disheartening.

 

I think also maybe it needs to be okay on a fan level for the guys we like not to be featured in everything or given every award or even be snubbed now and then. It’s all meaningless on the end lol

Just my perspective from everything I've seen this year. Just look at how they talked about him after his 73pt game. But it's whatever, I'll stop complaining. It doesn't matter anyways as you said. If anything, hopefully he goes insane in the playoffs.

 

If you've never had Youtube TV before they are running a deal that is $15 off for each of your first three months for new users, so it's $58 instead of $73 and ends up quite a bit cheaper than fubo. I can't tell if you have to lock into any certain amount of time but it doesn't look like it, so you could cancel after the playoffs end.
