The Cavs originally didn’t own the tie breaker over the Knicks but if Cavs win Sunday and both Bucks and Knicks lose (unlikely), Cavs WILL own tiebreaker due to the three-way tie and Cavs winning the division.

If we’re being honest, the play-in idea is cool BUT there should be stipulations. If you’re a 9/10 seed who isn’t .500 or above, you should automatically be disqualified.

The West is a great example: multiple 45-win teams duking it out to get to playoffs.

In the East? Cmon.

 

Or even if the 7/8 seed isn’t .500 - there should be some requirement that 9/10 have to be within a certain range of making the playoffs. But if a team is 6 to 9 games out of the top 8 seeds, fuck that.
