I avoid this thread to avoid spoilers while I’m at work / doing musician shit, so I have a request I just thought of before the playoffs. Pls don’t tag me about game shit if the Pelicans lose we can talk trash when I watch the game later haha

For example. Still don’t know what happened in OKC / NOLA, gonna watch either late tonight or tomorrow morning. If the Pelicans lose by like 25 points though then yeah you can tag me and say it’s not worth watching lol

 

We typically don’t play this well on 2nd night of b2b so I’m pretty happy, especially since Luka was questionable leading up to the game and was able to rest there at the end.

 

I’m mad at that loss.

A lot of dumb fouls called on Herb Jones definitely affected how aggressive he could be defending SGA in the fourth quarter. there was definitely a really extreme example of what I was talking about with him blatantly flopping into people for fouls. But whatever. He also made some outstanding plays and the 3 at the end was super clutch. The stolen from behind offensive rebound / alley oop to Holmgren was highlight reel.

Im just very annoyed that Herb had 2 fouls early, had 5 fouls early in the fourth, and 2 to 3 of those were baloney. The Thunder are a pain in my ass lol see you fuckers in the playoffs

 

This I think was his fourth foul? Look at their feet and look at how you cant even see Herb’s arms. Herb already fell for the initial pump fake and was behind him. SGA stayed on his pivot foot waiting for Herb to bump into him for so long. That contact he reached for by awkwardly flopping sideways while shooting, never happened, and eventually he hopscotched on his pivot foot.

But instead of getting called for traveling, he flopped on the floor, and the ref bought that Herb knocked him down from behind, even though he didn’t reach with his arms and was a full 2 feet behind him.

we also didn't need the perimeter defense because we had Jrue Holiday

it is a big blow because everyone saw the energy and intensity he brought to the team.

but yeah overall I guess if they can't overcome a Beverly injury they aren't good enough to win

neither of those teams had a big 3 as good as the Bucks - all those aforementioned teams have/had perimeter defenders the Bucks do not have
