Last night was such a Pelicans game.

up by as much as 34 points in the second quarter

the lead was cut to 4 within the last minute of the game

we are gonna be so disappointing in the playoffs. We lose big leads more than any other team in the NBA. Keeps looking like we’re gonna blow a team out and then going really cold.

whats gonna happen is we’re gonna play against better defense in the playoffs and we’re not gonna hit so many threes and we’re not gonna be clutch

 

Like overall we’re beating mostly everyone we should beat, we’re scoring a lot, we’re one of the top defensive teams, we’re rebounding WAY better than we did last year, the team shares the ball & can be patient for good shots… but being bad at managing momentum can ruin all of that. Unless we can finish REALLY strong, we’re solidly below the top 3-4 teams in each conference even if we’re probably safe from the play-in tourney

Hopefully Trey Murphy can stay hot now - long as we’re hitting 3s we can beat anybody, but our best two 3 point shooters (Murphy and Jordan Hawkins) are still young & inconsistent. Herb Jones is developing into another 3 point guy though which is much needed.

 

We need a Pelicans fan in here because I have no idea what to make of that team.
