Ah Kevin love once again injuring a NBA player

 

All those players are ass but he hasn’t been great. Hes going to be judged greatly by what he does with all of that cap space this summer.

 

He’s going to give a max deal to a player he traded away previously lol

this franchise is just so unserious. Cannot believe it’s been almost two decades since I could believe in them

 

I’d rather the team tries to poach and overpay someone like Pat Williams than get some bullshit. I’ve seen enough of Tobias Harris lately that I might explode if we sign him

SGA is good but I hate how much of his game is drawing lame ass fouls

It’s a legitimate way to score and win with how the NBA rules are called nowadays, I just don’t fuckin like it. I wish the NBA would see how cheeky it can be sometimes and how defenders literally can’t avoid that if they’re trying to play tough defense. In an ideal world we’d adjust the rules accordingly and change back to a less ticky tacky league, in response to him getting like 80 free throws a game off of pump faking and then jumping into a guy while he’s in the air. Just makes a mockery of how dumb 40% of fouls are now

 

“Get good, don’t fall for the pump fake” yeah yeah yeah. It still makes basketball annoying to watch.

 

League needs to change offensive players throwing themselves into defenders to get calls, worst part of the game right now

 

SGA went 11/21 last night and only took 6 free throws

 

Glad some other people agree and I’m not just being a dumb NFL fan lol. I’m still learning how basketball “is” if that makes sense.

the other thing I fucking hate about modern basketball (and this is also a very common complaint, not saying anything ground breaking here) is how liberal they are about gather steps.

Even if it’s not “technically traveling”, come on man have some nuance about it lol. There are dudes with legs so long that a gather step + two more steps takes them straight from the 3 point line to the rim, without guys having any fair chance to poke at the ball without fouling. And this is a thing Pelicans players do too, some of Ingram’s layups I’m like “there’s no WAY that’s not a travel” lol.

Guys are so good at the gather step now, that they know how to time it so that they take that step RIGHT before they catch a dribble, and it almost buys them a FOURTH step. Isn’t James Harden the guy who started this dumbass trend because I hate it

Yeah but come on man haha you and I both know SGA makes a living behind the free throw line in half his games. You’ve definitely seen him repeatedly do what I’m talking about

I am just staunchly against the idea that defenders can’t defend close because all a shooter has to do is jump into them and pretend they were gonna shoot (see: usually a real dumb extremely well defended shot that they wouldn’t ACTUALLY try to make) to get a foul

 

Shai definitely hasn’t been getting to the line as much as he was. He was easily shooting 10+ on average through December-January


(I had to check before posting this but yeah he was averaging almost 11 free throws a game last month. Down to 7.5 this month)

 

If the shooter jumps into YOU, they should just let the play roll imo. Like, it’s not charging either, but if they wanna try that dumb shit that isn’t the defender’s fault at all then let them miss a dumb shot
