I think Terry is worth more but he plays for the Hornets and it’s hard for us to convince anyone we have good players. But I’ll take the first.

 

wonder how protected the pick is. terry isn’t a zero like lowry has been but he also doesn’t add much

 

Hell yeah, I'm just glad they weren't complacent ahead of the deadline again.

 

Rozier has been awesome this year. If the Heat figure out a way to add one more piece off the bench they can make another deep run.

 

Don’t see how we get anything for Lowry when the league knows we’ll just release him after the deadline. I guess we could get a couple 2nd rounders. Maybe a young dart throw player.

 

Someone will probably be interested. Like Slowheart said the other day. A team that is looking to sign a bigger FA in the offseason would want his expiring money.

As a Cavs fan, few players scare me more than Terry Rozier. He has absolutely tortured us over the years.

The biggest thing for me is that we didn't have to take on another player so we actually moved further away from the 2nd apron. Should be able to get a vet on the buyout market too.

 

I wonder what buyout guys are available this year. Lowry seems like a guarantee now.

 

Gordon Hayward is really the only other name I've seen so far.

Hornets fans are big mad but I don’t really know what they expected. It was always going to be an expiring and 1-2 firsts. We only got one but it’s fine lol

Hayward, PJ, Lowry will be shopped. Just get whatever picks you can for them and be happy you can start over with Lamelo and Miller being the starting point (and Mark Williams I suppose).

The only way we are going to acquire a star level player is via draft or trades. So we need to stock up on picks. Hopefully once the new owners clean out the front office (it’s 100% happening), we will have new voices in the room and new people making decisions. Maybe the draft luck increases. Maybe we get in a position to ship out some firsts for a player like the Pacers just did.

Fans just get tunnel vision in these situations. There was no reason for us to keep Rozier. And it’s unrealistic to expect more than what we got in return.

i think ainge holds onto clarkson if his market value is a lotto protected first.
