Just popping in to say:

1) dammit Ja Morant. That loss was every bit as frustrating as the two vs the Jazz. Pelicans LOVE giving up 20+ point leads in the fourth.

2) Jordan Hawkins is the first rookie of all time to make a three pointer in all of his first 22 games. Hell yeah. Between him, Valanciunas becoming a way more comfortable shooter than he used to be, and Trey Murphy getting his range back post injury, finally the Pelicans can shoot some 3s. Ingram’s been hitting them too. Big difference from a year and a half ago when the Pelicans couldn’t shoot outside to save their life

 

do i go and watch the pistons break the losing streak against the nets?

Turned out to be a much better night than I had anticipated after that brutal first quarter.

 

Oh my god, Foster hates the Heat. They just had two possessions in a row where Bam and then Jaquez were fouled on shots that he called as non-shooting fouls.

If anyone forgot, in the post-season it came up that Miami was 1-12 in the previous two seasons with Foster reffing their games.

 

If the NBA fixed their ref problems it will be a golden age for basketball

The growth in Duncan Robinson’s game compared to last year has been wild. Not only is his 3pt shot back but he’s taking more drives to the basket and his passing and defense has also taken a step up. He finished with 21 in the 4th tonight.

Herro also finished with 30 tonight and Jaquez had a good game without Jimmy and they overcame a somewhat bad shooting night at the rim. Two good wins in a row after letting the Wolves come back to beat them earlier in the week.

 

This 3 over Capela late in the 4th was wild.

 

Suns are bad. I’m not sure what that team thought they were doing.

Traded for a “star” that’s never healthy and signed a bunch of borderline shouldn’t be in the league bench players.

 

Fun fact - the Pistons closest loss during this stretch was surprisingly a two point loss to the Bucks. And their largest loss was to the Bucks (technically tied with Philly and Orlando - they all beat Detroit by 32)
