Boomers really are the international version of the Warriors. Trying to cater to both the now and future but it just doesn’t work :(

Just caught up with the World Cup games. Austin Reaves was absolutely exposed by Lithuania. They just attacked him relentlessly and it worked.

Canada v Spain was wild as well. Shai was clutch. USA losing also put them at the other end of the bracket from Canada so that could very well be the finals matchup now.

USA v Italy should be fun since the Italians all hate Banchero now. I wonder if they try to go after him a ton out of spite.

Bummed that Latvia's run is over. Just a really fun underdog team. It would have been cool to see them directly qualify for the Olympics.

Luka looked exhausted against Canada. There's not a ton of great talent on that roster after him. Gotta think The tournament MVP now is a lock for SGA.

Also, the Olympic field is looking pretty great so far. This will probably be the most competitive field ever (depending on who shows up for Team USA).

Canada will likely become the first non-USA team to field a team made up entirely of active NBA players. France could theoretically do that too (though they have some Euroleague talent that is better than their NBA guys, so I doubt it) and could have one of those guys be Joel Embiid. Jokic is more likely to show up for Serbia in the Olympics, plus Jovic looks set for a big year and they have some intriguing young prospects like Nikola Topic. Australia's young guards should continue to get better and Germany has a few more NBA guys who skipped this year. The weakest teams are Japan (who were pretty competitive even without Rui Hachimura) and South Sudan, but even they will have some NBA representation. The remaining four teams to qualify will all have some good talent on the roster as well.

It'll be a long season before Paris, so we'll see how things shake out, but it should be a really fun tournament.

I'm excited to see Franz back in action after missing most of the tournament. Germany is much better when he's able to take some pressure and ball handling away from Schroder. Also, I love that they hand out actual trophies for "player of the game" awards.

Don't know how much he has left to offer, but I'm really happy that Danny Green has returned to Philly.

I’ll be interested to see if Canada’s three year commitment rule holds for the Olympics after falling short today (aka do they beg Wiggins to join).
