Sacks are more of a team stat in the NFL really. Like, elite pass rushers will have less than half the sacks if they aren’t on a D Line that has chemistry and reliable talent next to them.

I’d pay more attention to hits, hurries, and pass rush win rate to determine one guy’s effectiveness. Cause you can easily have what the Jags had this year - Josh Allen winning a LOT of his pass rush snaps, but he was our only good pass rusher so a lot of the time all the QB had to do is shift away from him. Hurries and pass rush win rate will show his pass rushing success on the stat sheet even if he doesn’t end up with the sacks

Sacks mostly happen when you can corner the QB with 2-3 guys and give him nowhere to go in the pocket, especially now that most QBs are mobile in the modern era. Its really hard to sack the QB all by yourself unless you time the snap count perfect and hit his blindside
