Honestly no, there's been talk of him being a hot commodity in free agency since the season started

 

He's be more fun to watch then mason

 

I will say, his completion percentage is WAY higher than I had imagined. I had him pegged as a <60% kind of guy who was averaging like 1:1 TD to INT type seasons. His 2018 season is kinda passable by starting QB standards (even if its like, the 21st best QB in the league). Hes statistically a better option than rolling with Mason Rudolph on accuracy alone and we'd be giving him a stronger set of skill position players than he usually had in CHI.

My benchmark by the way is Jameis Winston's deal this year. $5.5mil guaranteed with the possibility of it becoming ~$10mil if the QB surpasses 3500yds, a 95 passer rating, 25TD, etc. Dont really care if its Bridgewater or Trubisky or someone similar...as long as they dont pay more than that, Im happy. If they pay more than that, it'd better be someone much better.

I think he'd hide some of the deficiencies of the line, and an option game with Najee would certainly free up some holes.

I think I'd prefer Bridgewater doing the "2s release, tons of slants, hooks, ins, etc" offense Ben was doing, but, I'd take this as the 2nd option

Which I dont really get. He flopped badly, and sure, blame it on Nagy, but its not like he started multiple games in Buffalo to show what he could do.

If anything, its the Bills trying to get someone to sign him to a big enough deal to get a good comp pick for it.

 

If Dorsey and Daboll ironed out the rough edges to where he's back to his pro bowl (lmao) form, then he could be a decent pick up for Washington or Pittsburgh.

 

He actually probably fits the WAS offense decently well, and the weapons are there to at least match what he had in CHI.

Im looking at his game logs, cause I was really surprised at the season-wide stuff compared to my memory of him, and sure enough, he basically has 3 games a season where he's real good and 13 where he's...not good.

 

Yeah and 1 and a half of those games are fun af to watch haha

Looking a year ahead, I really don't think 2023's QB class will be that much better either.

2024 is when things will kind of get back to ...normal... with some QBs at the top of the draft class.
