Can't believe Halloween candy is on the shelves already

 

When I worked at Home Depot Halloween decorations were up august 1st

 

Yup, did merchandising at Lowe’s and it was pretty much that. Then Christmas in mid-September. Had to work 2 weeks of overnights to put up Christmas stuff.

They’re going to announce the move soon. Having been to the Arlington race track, that area is going to need massive redevelopment. It’s right off the commuter train line which is nice, but they’re going to have to essentially rebuild all of downtown Arlington Heights to make this work.

 

We’re visiting Jocelyn’s grandparents right now and their town has about 500 people in it. I truly don’t know how people live out here

 

Sounds like Nebraska. Seeing a McDonalds felt like going to the city there.

 

The town I grew up in has about the same population as the high school my mom went to… around 5,000. The only redeeming quality of rural Northern WI is getting into nature as far away from the people as possible.

my gf’s sister lived 45 minutes outside of a town of like 1000 people. It was here and like 4 other houses out there. It was 20 minutes to the closest thing which was a gas station. Shit was crazy to me.

 

I’ve probably mentioned this before but my fiancés high school class was only 8 people. There’s literally crumbling brick buildings on “Main Street” in Wanette, Oklahoma

 

My hometown was small but it was at least the county seat and we had a Walmart and like 5 restaurants. But that was probably just because Route 66 went through it

 

8 people?? That’s insane.

 

It really is. Her mom and little sister still live there but her sister went to a bigger high school 20ish minutes away.

What's wild is this town is the county seat as well but there's NOTHING here except a small grocery store and one bar/restaurant. There's absolutely no retail anything
