Dude was lights out early in the season. Two games where he threw four TDs and two where he threw five. Only had one game (against the Jets) where he threw four from the Bills game onward and threw two or less in every other game.

Lol Teddy Bridgewater threw 18 TDs all year. I think the Broncos paying up for a floor of 2 TDs a game, with a ceiling of 4-5 is pretty reasonable. And who cares if it turns out to be a bad contract, the cap isn't real anyway haha

Okay, but I’m talking about Russ’s style of play and how successful he and that offense are going to be. I don’t care about the contract. I’m just expressing concerns about how good he’ll be, but no one is presenting any argument besides “He’s better than Teddy and Lock,” which no shit lol

Teddy Bridgewater is so bad he's one of the few starting QBs from last year I can confidently say is worse than Mac Jones.

I will say even if he’s as good as he’s ever been he still might only be the 3rd best qb in the division going forward, which is scary but that also doesn’t mean the broncos could find someone better. Mahomes and Herbert might be competing for best qb in the league for the next 5 years

I mean, my argument is pretty cut and dry. He has been incredibly successful despite playing for one of the most poorly constructed rosters in this timeline. I think he will be able to transition well to a far more complete roster. He will probably have to adjust his game a bit, but on the flipside, he also won't be running for his life or taking 85+ shots per game from 300lb dudes like he was in Seattle so his durability will improve a bit.

I feel like people are weirdly bored of Mahomes. Like, in fantasy his ADP compared to Herbert is kinda funny to me.

I agree that he’s transition to a better roster, but I’ll push back on the idea that he May going to adjust his game. When push comes to shove, and at 33, Russ is gonna be Russ. I’ll believe the change when I see it. And I don’t question his durability. He’s been very durable throughout his career thus far.

    Since Peyton:

    Trevor Siemian
    Paxton Lynch
    Brock Osweiler
    Case Keenum
    Joe Flacco
    Brandon Allen
    Jeff Driskel
    Brett Rypien
    Kendall Hinton
    Drew Lock
    Teddy Bridgewater

Guys, just let me be happy.

Herbert and Mahomes should be much closer in ADP. I have Herbert ahead in my rankings by one spot because of the WRs, but to see Mahomes hanging around in the fifth round sometimes is comical.

I’m not saying you can’t be happy. You should be!

I just think even if he doesn't adjust his style one bit, and it's not a perfect translation, the upsides both for him and the broncos far outweigh the downsides of committing to him long term.

I would take Mahomes first out of all the qbs. He’s just the most sure thing, you know he’s good for at least 35 tds and 4500 yards. Someone might have a better year but nobody is as much of a sure thing.

How many quarterbacks have the Broncos started since they last beat Kansas City

Denver can get respect when they earn respect

Yeah it is pretty laughable that the Broncos couldn’t even beat the Alex Smith-led Chiefs. It’s been quite some time!
