I don’t even think all 31 GMs know how to play chess tbh

That signing was one of the most predictably terrible signings from 2020 along with the Falcons signing Dante Fowler lol

I love smokescreen SZN because its seemingly the only God damn thing Chris Grier is good at

That OL isn't stopping Howell* from throwing into triple coverage

I do really hope that Howell is decent so I can stop calling him Great Value Baker Mayfield.

It'd be a lot more satisfying to call Mayfield "Great Value Sam Howell"

I think TE, K, G, and S are the best deals with the tag. Honestly, QB/DE/WR, you'd be smarter to give the guy a 2-3yr fully guaranteed salary deal a la Cousins than tag them and risk a future tag at 120% the price.

QB1 in this draft class is nothing to get excited about

I just dont think any GM has been around long enough to make that mistake and still be the GM/coach of their team. The only person I can think of who shook up their roster in a big way, trading elite talent away, and kept their job for more than like 2-3 years was Jon Gruden. And that was because he was on a 10yr deal and even then, it was highly unlikely he made it to the end of that deal

Like, Keim/Kingsbury could trade Kyler for a haul and let some other team pay him, but if that fails, they'll be out of a job at the end of the year and some new GM will have the picks and the new coach/GM gets credit for making the moves that follow.

I suppose, I do think Keim/Kingsbury are not outliving Kyler as it is on that team but also I was speaking more generally than about that specific situation, moreso just about how stubborn so many of these people are in general

Mike McDaniel personally made a video & presented it to the scouting staff of the type of RB they need

    I love this guy already

Not quite the same but its been a decade since the Seahawks took someone even worth starting in the 1st round. At best 1/10. It was 9 straight fuck ups for the Pats before Mac.

Pats only had 7 in a row and that’s declaring Sony Michel a fuck up which I reject since he should have been a super bowl mvp lol

this is the happiest i've been to keep a player who I hope never has to play. Also wild that our second longest tenured player is a back up

Im not talking about miss on 1st round picks, Im talking about not signing a franchise-level player and instead letting them walk for draft picks. If Pete Carroll trades Russell Wilson, do we really believe he'll be coaching in 2024 or so?

Belichick is kind of the exception, in that he let things get bad enough with their franchise QB (in terms of quality of talent surrounding him, pay, etc) that he walked and won a SB, and even then, if he had whiffed on Mac Jones, he'd surely be fired.

The QBs who are even verge top-15 guys get paid that f-you money because good luck convincing the owner to get rid a seeming franchise QB, and good luck finding another guy who rates higher.
