Hell, I don't really believe teams even learn from their own mistakes a whole lot haha

holy shit. Shocked to see the Packers losing a home game. Never thought that would happen. People gonna be furious, will likely lead off some news shoes around here this week lol

Edit: even if it would be the 9th home game, people will still be pissed lol

By somebody, yeah. Doesn’t always have to be your original team though. And I mean the Rams and Eagles very QUICKLY dug themselves out of those bad contracts, to the point you kinda think they knew they were taking a big risk and wrote those contracts to be flimsy to begin with.

  4. Also it's not like he sucks. 67% completion %, okay TD to INT, valuable as a runner. Maybe we wouldn't pay him that much but he will get it.

More reason to not really worry about them when discussing your current star qb.

Kyler is an extremely high potential quarterback for sure

right now though my questions are on maturity and humility

any high potential quarterback can flame out and hit a ceiling if their weaknesses get exposed really bad and they’re too cocky to change. It’s not a good sign that he instantly was looking around for someone to blame, instead of recognizing he’s gotta continue to change & re-evaluate the way he plays even though he’s been successful

He’s a great runner when he gets in space and he’s very elusive if he’s only gotta dodge one over-aggressive guy. However, defenses playing contain while dropping into sideline-heavy zones (cloud, quarters, 6, etc) is gonna absolutely kill him until he learns how to respect the pocket and throw over the middle when teams are taking the flanks away. And so far Kyler’s body language and social media outbursts have shown he doesn’t see it that way and he thinks the coach / roster hung him out to dry.

Regardless what his stats are; that’s a big red flag for a guy who’s asking me to give him $40M a year with back loaded guarantees, and basically publicly demanding I do it early. Would I spend that for a Murray who is going to continue to improve and hold himself accountable for some of his bad habits that he got away with in college? Yes, but who knows right now if that’s the trajectory he’s on. I’m leaning “no” based on his attitude.

I might literally rather pay that money to Lamar Jackson right now, cause even though he just had a bad season and turned the ball over way too much… he’ll be the first to tell you “that’s on me. I can’t play like that. There are no other excuses, even if I am struggling I have to protect the ball.”

Yeah, Lamar isn't going to create a toxic situation. Murray seems to blame everyone but himself.

I think the bold part is more so me and Spiffa's argument.

Tell me what I missed Supporter

It's kinda sad, I've been in much more low stakes situations where I felt I needed to grow to do my best and it's weird seeing coaches and GMs just kinda do the same things forever

But hey I guess everyone who works in sports has to have a bit of an ego where they think their way is always right, or else they wouldn't have been able to make it that far in the first place? I dunno

  13. FA Ben Jones at center
    FA Connor Williams at guard
Ikem Ekwonu/Charles Cross in the draft

    Cross-Williams-Jones-Christensen-Moton

Seems somewhat realistic and would be a pretty decent OL.

I mean, they're gonna be fine at 6. Prob not Neal or Ikem, but Cross isn't that massive of a reach or they can trade down and get Penning

  15. Or sign a tackle in free agency and draft Linderbaum

How expensive is the tag for a tight end? Can't be that bad.

I kind of think this might be smoke. You've got two teams ahead of you that could take OL or wait. This is telling them "you can't wait". Why put that out there?

  23. That’s why we’re trading into the 2nd to draft Howell

  24. They put it out there so you think it’s smoke to throw off the scent.
