I'm going to be honest this headline is purposely framed this way. I'm not the biggest McDermott fan and I have a really hard time expressing in words the disappointment I have with the franchise as things have been released.

I'll try to keep it as brief as possible but something was way, way off with McDermott last night. I've never seen him speak so haltingly. He said "and" and "umm" more than I've ever seen. No one deserves the benefit of the doubt right now but he just really seemed not himself at the podium, so there's a possibility to me that he's actually not okay with how things have gone.

I don't think he was necessarily trying to "good people on both sides" it, I think knowing his as a "man of faith" that he probably believes in praying for the sinner in the "you've done something wrong and you need to get right with God" sense. Kind of like Derek Carr saying that he was "praying for" Henry Ruggs when he killed that girl
