I think the idea behind the joke was that Burns is the guy who sacked Mac last year and supposedly injured Mac’s leg. It was a whole thing for a hot minute last season on whether it was intentional or not

He's missed almost half his games. But if he's healthy hes one of the best

What is up with those two teams this week

 

Mac Jones - Brian Burns play from last year. Panthers are convinced he was trying to injure Burns (video makes a compelling case but who knows what the intentions were). This should have been completely expected but for some reason the coaches still thought it was a good idea.

 

Narrative a few months ago was that the Ravens overpaid for Marcus Williams at 14M per year which was way too much for a safety. Seems like a great deal now.

 

Safeties are valuable

 

Safeties are probably the least valuable position on the defense on the whole, but great players are valuable regardless of the position

 

I would argue LB is, but I think the argument is so silly because you still want players who are at least solid at every position

 

I just feel like this piece of shit is gonna play this season.

 

Jags still need a safety.
