yes, of course they were. I hate them and they both stink. Noah might get freaking cut.

But Robert Hunt is an above average starting guard. Raekwon Davis is an above average nose tackle. Brandon Jones is an above average starting safety.

so they got 3 above average "starters" (I don't think Raekwon starts but you get my point), plus a top ~20 (already) QB?

LIke I said, its because of Herbert. And I'm not saying I don't get it. But just be real.

I'd say it's more than Herbert. They needed a WR and a RB and passed on two obvious picks, both of whom are now top three at their position. I love Hunt but remember being shocked at them deciding Hunt was better than JT.

not to mention basically every Dolphins reporter said that Noah Igbo was specifically a Flores pick

I, personally, would love to see Jimmy on the Giants long term. I think it’s a great move and would get that franchise heading in the right direction. Big fan of that idea. Make it happen @giants

like I said, I get it. If they had picked Jefferson, they probably don't have Waddle or Tyreek right now though. Lets see how things play out this year. (and yes he is better than both, but you get what I am saying. The roster would be different)

Not to mention that their first 3 picks in '21 look like they will all be Pro Bowl caliber players. I wanted Grier gone too, but between the '21 draft and his offseason this year, he deserves one last crack at it.

like if a team leaves a draft with 3 solid starters AND a potential franchise QB, how can that be considered "one of the worst drafts in recent memory" or whatever that person said? Sorry, I Just wont agree...even with how bad the Noah/AJ picks were.

for the record i don't think they're the worst. they aren't even the worst from that YEAR lol. They had five top 100 picks and the most successful one of them still didn't make it two years on the team lol. Hunt/Davis/Jones may not be GREAT but Ruggs and Arnette were both worse prospects than all three of those guys and they went top 20.

The Raiders had 5 1sts (four top 25), a second, and 3 high thirds in two years and walked away with a passable RB and a maybe above average corner.

Honestly they should've had to forfeit Maxx Crosby and Hunter Renfrow lol.

lets revisit in 2.5-3 years. That tackle learning curve is rough. Definitely guys are more slippery in the NFL. That was a pretty nice move the guy put on him.

I think a big part of this is that Roquan is involved in conversations about his worth that he would never even hear if he had an agent doing this stuff for him.

It also seems that both the team and player are being stubborn here. The Bears want to backload and apparently heavily incentivize the contract. And Roquan wants to be paid more than Leonard while not being as productive.

Thomas sucked his first year too. He'll be fine, not worried. Just moreso happy that our guy showed tf up from snap #1

I could see NY looking at healthy Saquon and a lot invested into WR and kick the tires on Jimmy for this year alone. But they’d have to be ready to bench Jones right now and OK with probably losing a chance at a top 5 pick, so it’s probably not worth it.

Things I’m paying attention to in tonight’s game:

    - Gardner Minshew vs Reid Sinnett
    - Who is the WR5, or could the Eagles really carry six WRs?
    - How do the backup offensive linemen look?
    - Jordan Davis, Milton Williams, Marlon Tuipolotu, and Tarron Jackson on the defensive line
    - Nakobe Dean and Davion Taylor
    - How do the backup corners look?
    - Literally any safety

Minshew vs Sinnett might seem dumb and I don’t expect the Eagles to trade Minshew unless they get a decent pick (say a fourth), but Minshew has been struggling in camp a bit, which has led to Sinnett getting some reps with the twos.

The Eagles WRs I’m really watching are Jalen Reagor and Britain Covey. Reagor has been having his best camp in his career so far, which isn’t saying much, but he’s apparently been looking good relatively speaking. A good preseason could either booster his trade value or his chances at staying with the team. Reagor is probably Covey’s main competition, as Covey could become a gadget slot WR for the team while also providing some juice as a returner.

Tuipolotu has surprisingly been having a good camp and some beat writers think he could actually make the roster. Five DTs seems like a lot, but Tuipolotu making the roster could signal that this team believes they have good enough depth to let Cox AND Hargrave leave in free agency after this season. Jackson, meanwhile, has a season under his belt and can prove that he can continue to be developmental depth.
