I would have included Akers before camp. I still might, but I think he’s still got to answer the post-Achilles concerns when it comes to his efficiency and McVay has been talking up Henderson in camp and viewing the backfield as a 1a/1b type of thing

 

We differ on a few, but I can get behind a lot of these just upon an initial glance.

Nothing haha I just think Henderson is about as good so it'll be a true committee in an otherwise very high volume passing offense.

 

And, for the record, I love when analysts or fans or whatever go out on a limb with some players in their rankings. I think it’s fair to keep things close to consensus, but I do think the difference between winning and coming in, like, 4th or 5th (which who cares lol) is planting your flags and getting unique

 

Ah okay. Like I mentioned, I do think it’s shaping up to be a committee where Akers sees more carries and Henderson sees more targets. I know McVay gets frustrated that Henderson can’t stay healthy so I think most of their runs up the middle or towards the tackles will go to Akers, but more of the outside runs will go to Henderson to get him in space more. I actually decided to get a little higher on Henderson today because I do think he’s good when given the opportunity (be it from McVay or his own body haha)

he's 29th. I like Stevenson but BB isn't going to ignore all the other RBs and make him a bellcow. I think he'll be the benefactor of a lot of target and TDs but they have Harris, White, drafted two RBs, and might go into the season with all of them. Jacobs is 21st because as much as McDaniels might want a committee, he's assembled a committee of a consistent reliable RB1 and one-trick ponies made of glass.

Zamir is why I bumped Jacobs down outside the top 20! I think he's the planned future guy but this year he doesn't offer much more than Jacobs does.

 

My fantasy draft isn’t until Sept. 6 - easily the latest our league has ever held a draft in 15 years.

 

We gotta stop considering James White a factor in NE until positive news comes out regarding his hip injury.

 

BB will wheel him out on a gurney if he has to.

There's 2 QBs above him who had a down year, 1 injured, and 1 new starter. I think Hurts's volume of running might look the same but idk that he gets as many TDs.

As much as I hate him, Jameis looked damn good last year and that was with zero current starters at WR. Adding MT, Landry, and Olave to that offense - they could be dangerous.

 

No dobbins on your lists, assuming you’re going for projecting this year, is nuts. Easy lock for 1k in a Greg Roman offense.

 

I'm not touching McCaffrey in fantasy. Been burned too many times.

 

He's 31st. Coming off ACL tear, offense passing more, Lamar, no passing upside, TD regression. I could see top 25 for sure but idk how much higher.

 

Dobbins is coming off more than just an ACL tear too. There’s just too many things in the way for him to be anything more than a lower-end RB2 with some spiked weeks

 

As long as Hurts’ legs still work, he’ll be a QB1 for fantasy

Also, completely agree with you on Jameis

 

If he's healthy he's the top fantasy back. I'm assuming everyone I rank plays 17.
