Also going back to cleaning up the Pats books, next offseason, Mac's year 3, they'll have 50 mill in cap space with really only Jakobi Myers and Isaiah Wynn serving as FA losses. Can free up like 5 million more just by restructuring Judon.

DeVonta Smith missed practice yesterday with a groin injury and I’m hoping it’s not serious

Otherwise, I’m going to be sad and I don’t like being sad guys

Remember when Mac Jones threw 3 passes in a game and the Pats still won?

Draft kings has Stafford at 24.5 TD for the year and 10.5 wins for the season.

    SLAMMING that under.

They have to apply to the Pentagon for a delay in their obligation - there's a couple from the Naval Academy this year, two from the football team, a women's basketball player and a men's soccer player

Malcolm Perry, originally drafted by the Dolphins who also played for NE, just retired in order to fulfill his duty with the Navy

That's a good point but if they don't get any offers and cut him - he could wind up there and SF gets nothing for it. Tho there's the waiver wire and all that stuff.

Better to get something for him than nothing. If you’re that scared of him playing for an opponent you should probably keep him lol

Those early training camp groin injuries are the ones where you want to see him sit for a week+ at least. Otherwise they keep popping up every 2 weeks and never go away.

also I know I brought up Homage the other day, but they are having a 20% off everything sale this weekend for anyone that wants some new NFL shirts

Also, if I;m the 49ers, I gladly trade him to the Rams because at this point its hard for them to develop chemistry instantly, and its another $25mil in cap space they eat up.

Cause its really not hard to imagine them trading the 6th the Eagles gave up back to them and getting Minshew and him being a better option than Jimmy G since he'll actually play 17 games...and cost 1/10th the price

On the flipside why would the Rams give draft assets to SF for a rental

I know the price won't be high but I have to imagine SF would charge LAR more than they would an out of division team

Idk though maybe that is overthinking it but I feel like when it comes to the position of QB of all things there won't be a lot of playing nice and that'll create a gap between the est. price and actual price and that'll be something LAR won't wanna pay

I obviously want to wait for more details and practice reports, but it’s definitely something I’m monitoring and hoping the Eagles coaching and medical staffs keep him rested. I imagine they will because Sirianni has been big on adjusting the length and amount of practices in favor of player health so I’m hoping for the best with Smith.

Because the Rams are built entirely to win now...they have no draft picks til 2024 basically. Donald/Ramsey/Kupp/the rest of their core is all in their primes and might not be anymore in 2-3 years.

Really, they are one of the few teams I can think of in that scenario. The Saints probably should have done anything they could do trade for a QB post-Brees in a similar scenario.

I'm talking specifically about trading with SF and giving THEM the things more than I am the Rams spending those things for Jimmy. I just don't see why you'd give a division rival that kind of asset or that kind of ammunition to improve another asset longterm. I really think in that situation you just go somewhere else and roll the dice on someone else.
