On one hand I’m sad if Stafford is breaking down now, but at least he got his ring before it happened. Dude is a warrior and if this keeps him out it’s serious.

But if he’s out I hope the rams are terrible, give me that high pick.

 

After last years Ravens training camp where Marcus Peters and one of the running backs (can't remember which one) tore ACLs after back to back plays, among other injuries - training camp, at least from home just has such an ominous vibe. So far one of the depth linebackers tore his ACL and the new center got cleated yesterday apparently, other than that Ravens have been healthy otherwise...

There is a UDFA from the Naval Academy (with a rather unfortunate last name, I guess it is pronounced like Van Gogh) that I would love to see make the team, he was a beast for Navy. My grandfather taught for the Naval Academy and that side of the family has first access to great tickets on the 50 yard line, my dad stopped pitching in years ago but someone couldn't go to the SMU game last year so we got to go- he had a fumble recovery for a td and a bunch of tackles. Always have a soft spot for those guys.

 

Didn’t the Rams just give Stafford an extension earlier this offseason?

 

Dude just seemed to dominate Army over the years. Glad he's done playing against them, cool to see him at the professional level. Not sure how, since they have a service obligation by attending those colleges.

 

Is it fair to say the Rams are fucked without Stafford?

 

They got to a Super Bowl with Goff, Jimmy G is available with experience in their offense, nah I think they can survive a Stafford injury

 

I know “cap isn’t real” but there’s no way they can bring in Jimmy is there?

I don’t think they’ll be terrible without Stafford but idk if they get past 10 wins

 

I'm pretty sure I got it done with restructuring three deals

 

The Rams pull off more salary cap wizardry than any other team, they can pull off Jimmy G i'm sure.

 

I would honestly rather have Nick Foles than Jimmy G. I actually like the qb wins stat over a large enough sample size but Jimmy G is the exception to the rule. And the thing is if he goes to the rams that trend will just continue, they’ll drag him to 10 wins

 

If they felt like it they could just go get Mason Rudolph and figure out their shit later for like a 6th rounder
