It'd depend on the coach, but, I agree that a good coach would get over the INTs pretty quick. Favre got away with a ton of them. And even Mahomes had a bunch more this year than usual and it didnt really hurt him

You do realize these two things are directly correlated, right? Matt Ryan would have a cap hit of ~$30mil this season, but they restructured his deal 3 separate times, with last year converting his entire salary into a signing bonus, and thus the massive hit this year.

Sean Payton just retired because the cap is real and the chickens came home to roost in NO

Yeah the whole “cap isn’t real cap isn’t real cap isn’t real” is laughable at this point considering that the Falcons are a prime example of why it is. Atrocious contracts given to a handful of players that they can’t work around easily without devastating the rest of the roster. Hell, going into 2020 or 2021 they had, like, 30-35 players in the roster and not much cap space to work with, which is why they’re in the mess they are in. A few players on bloated contracts that no one wants and not many young players worth mentioning to develop.

A team restructuring a contract or two isn’t new and no one is saying the Packers can’t restructure existing contracts to make space. Teams do it all the time. It just comes at a price, which is why it’s gonna hit the Saints hard this offseason. This isn’t meant to be disrespectful in any way, but Randall mentioned that Kamara could lead the Saints to a 6-8 win season (which, no), but the Saints are going to have a difficult time doing that without Terron Armstead and potentially other offensive lineman and defensive players!

In what way have the Falcons been “fine” for the last two seasons? That team is fucking awful lol

Just out of curiosity, not coming at ya, why out for Watson but not Ben?

Same if the Eagles do it. I’ll go full Chargers mode at that point

They won 7 games despite the brightest spot on their roster bouncing and no longer have Drew Brees or Tom Brady in their division.
