Speaking of passion, I’m about to go in on some ice cream rn and y’all who showed up for draft night know what that means

 

Draft night was so cool and so fun. I’m glad I got to share that experience with some of you guys

I’m not. All it means is I put 8+ scoops into a bowl and go to town

I don’t know anything about any other sport, but I’m always down for sweet hangs

Draft night just happened to be the first night it was just me and the baby at home and that didn't work out at all lol so it'd be fun to do that again sometime

 

This place is elite, we check what flavors are there every week

 

Crumbl goes hard. I remember telling myself I just wanted to try a piece of the chocolate chip cookie I got, next thing I knew I ate the whole thing before I got home. It was 10:30 in the morning

 

I’d be down to do it for a particularly bad Thursday night football game too lol

 

We just got a Crumbl Cookie a few weeks ago and it’s pretty great although I feel like “cookie” doesn’t suite the product well. To me they’re like flat, dense cakes since they’re so soft and most have tons of shit on top of them

Also a bit alarming that they’re open until midnight on Friday's and Saturday’s and open at 8 am every day. If I saw someone going to Crumbl at 8 in the morning on a weekday and buying, let’s say, the 12 Party Pack I feel like the police may get called because that’s maybe a cry for help lol

Also fun that if you buy a party pack all 65 workers I guess have to yell “party” when they see the order come through because that’s what happened for me

thats fair but I will say I have calmed down quite a lot as a fan as I’ve gotten older lol. I know I go hard on the football opinions in here but during the game I’m mostly pretty chill nowadays, especially being so used to the Jags blowing shit by now

 

I will also say this, yes football is just a hobby but that’s only because the path to being a pro coach or scout (or a pro sports writer) is so grueling and un-fun haha.

if I were to have some connection that got me into the front office of a good college football school, and I could just skip the line and start proving myself there? I would spend 10-16 hours a day on football strategy like actual pro coaches do. I am seriously interested in the strategic side of the game and I would go HARD if it was my job. it would become a passion at that point.

but sadly that’s not how it works lol, I’d have to start out being an assistant coach on a bad high school team without any guarantee I’d ever make it to nationally televised football… and I don’t want to spend 12-16 hours a day on THAT lol. Cause that strategy is so much less sophisticated and winning has way more to do with what kinda athletic talent attends your school.

So coaching high school feels more like grunt work to me, and I think I actually get more enjoyment out of football with my “fan who watches film sometimes” perspective. Cause I really only like high level, cerebral, NFL football, I don’t really enjoy sloppy football lol. I wouldn’t have the patience to sit through a decade or two of that just to get to the puzzles I actually do wanna solve.

If im chasing a very low-percentage pipe dream, I’d much rather be putting that energy into music because that’s actually fun regardless whether you get anywhere with it or not. And because you can actually keep your day job and still be making money lol, instead of dropping everything to make football your low paying overworking job.

 

Maybe anyone vs. Browns because I think we’re all prettt anti Cleveland at the moment lol

 

I have plenty of thoughts on this post, but I can just sum them all up and say that you're wrong about most things... especially hours worked, career pathing/job opportunities, pay, and winning due to athletic talent.

 

I’ve never heard of Crumbl, but apparently there are three outside of Pittsburgh (just not on my side of the city). So I’m gonna have to find them when I’m out those ways.

 

There are none in south jersey

 

Crunbl cookies sounds dope. One just opened up in Oaks nearby me so I’ll have to go sometime this week perhaps
