I think the Dolphins will be aight. Maybe still compete for a playoff spot and either be one of the last teams in or the last teams out

I do think the Eagles roster overall improved a good bit for sure but im not buying the commitment to Hurts, they still gotta answer that question

 

They haven’t committed to Hurts

 

Man, Carson Wentz’s dumb ass didn’t stop them from spending a second round pick on Hurts in 2020. They will move on from Hurts whenever they want to. Howie tried to get Russ and even Watson! They put a better team around him because they didn’t really have another realistic option at QB that would probably be worth it and they’ll probably move on from him after this year. Howie is aggressive. If he sees an opportunity for a legitimate upgrade at QB and not some clown in the draft that will likely flop, he’ll pounce. That’s why he’s positioned the team to have multiple first round picks next year, in addition to multiple seconds the next couple years.

 

@Dinkleberg Yeah that’s what I mean I’m not buying that they will haha. This iteration of the Eagles is still under construction and not quite #7 roster until either Hurts’s game significantly grows or they replace him

 

I would argue the roster is closer to “finished” than otherwise. They have a lot of flexibility to move on from some older players now with some younger backups in place to develop in the now. My only frustration is that they are not prepared to move on from their older veterans in the secondary. Beyond that, they need to upgrade at QB unless Hurts takes a legitimate leap this year.

This is where I have them too. I seem to be lower than most for some reason.

 

The Dolphins will compete for a playoff spot along with most of the AFC because that conference is v competitive now. Saying “Team X will compete for a playoff spot” doesn’t really mean anything to me in that conference anymore

For as historically shitty as the Jaguars were last year, what amazes me the most is that six of those coaches managed to get promotions while another 4 managed to make lateral moves and somehow the guy who was the best coach of them all was the only one who took a demotion.

 

I mean there are a lot of bad teams lol

They have a top five WR group, top ten DL and top 5 secondary

Not saying they are or aren't but I also don't think it's crazy

 

Legit question, who is projected to start on the Dolphins DL in nickel?

It just depends on how you define a “top 10 roster.” The Browns, Eagles, and Dolphins are all pretty dang good if you give QB the same weight as like LG and SS, but also all have big question marks at the QB position. Basically with all of them, it’s “they’ll be good if the QB is good or good enough or available in the case of the Browns and will be mediocre otherwise”
