People who post shit about how easy baseball is have likely never picked up a bat in their life lol. The hand-eye coordination to hit a baseball is, without a doubt, one of the hardest things to do in sports. Then this guys talking about hitting a home run?????? Do you even lift??????????????????????????????

Hitting a baseball hands down is the hardest thing to do.

 

if i stepped in the box against jacob degrom and he threw me 500 fastballs down the middle i am confident i would not, or even come close, to making contact 1 time.

 

I know almost nothing about baseball but if the best baseball players get a hit like, 34% of the time, I don't stand a chance

My cousin pitched in college and played in the little league world series. I was playing catch with him once and he started fucking with me by throwing me sliders and knuckle balls and all sorts of shit. Again, he pitched in a small school and was just fucking around. It was IMPOSSIBLE to even catch the shit let alone hit it.

 

I think anyone could hit a baseball pitch if they tried hard / long enough. The problem is actually getting on base lol. Anyone can get lucky and hit a foul or a very catchable pot fly. Hitting the ball in an intentional direction where other pros can’t get you out is a different story

Not calling you out, rather this person who tweeted this, but Baker is a fucking baby. Just because he didn’t assault numerous women doesn’t mean he’s a capable leader either. I mean, Baker surrounds himself with controversy seemingly every season when he’s throwing coaches or players under the bud publicly while he’s playing poorly.

Like, I get it, Watson is absolutely a scum of the earth piece of shit, but let’s not act like Baker is “an adult in the room” simply for holding a charity event. I remember when Watson donated his first paycheck to cafeteria workers in Houston and everyone thought he was a great guy!

I could never hit an MLB baseball. That being said, I find MLB to be insufferably boring, and have no interest in trying. I’d 100% rather do any other professional sport.

 

Who in here used to be a house appraiser. I remember that was a thing.

 

Yeah, home run is lunacy. Just having the grip strength to hold onto the damn bat as it rattles through your hands after making contact alone...

But I dont think the idea of making contact is so crazy. Again, 1 in 100, and not even saying I'd hit it past the pitchers mound. I'd take those odds. One of the things baseball has that none of the other sports have is a static situation. The pitcher is trying to hit the same small area...unlike in hockey where im moving and so are 9 other guys, or football where I have to read all the blockers, or even Tennis where the ball is hitting a much larger target area. Basketball too, I just gotta launch the ball high enough in the air towards the basket and pray.

Its gonna be dumb luck, but, i like my odds there way more than other sports
