Saints are likely gonna lose 1-2 players, but they were also contenders for what....15 years with Brees?

I used to be big on "well the cap is not going to allow it!", but its clear you can massage the cap to fit in any players you truly truly want to sign or acquire

 

Finally working with people his own age!

 

At some point the bill comes due, but i think a 15 year run of being competitive is worth a reset year or two lol. I don't think 4 years from now when the rams have no young talent they're gonna regret winning this year. The cap isn't CRAP but it's definitely crap.

I’m never a big fan of the tear it down mentality, but if they can keep Lattimore and Ramczyk happy and paid, everyone else of note is either 30+, on a rookie contract, or at a very replaceable position, and they seem like a pretty good candidate for a one year “rebuild”

 

That kinda makes sense. Fans and media worry because they don't know the plan or how a team may handle the cap, whereas the teams already know it's fine they've got a plan it's no biggie.

It's tough cause the Saints are in a worse situation but they're also in a division with three rebuilding teams instead of three teams looking to compete

 

I'll def set a $25 bet that the saints are in the payoffs in the next 2 years. I really think cap jail is overstated haha
