My flight over to the US (In 2014 lived in Austin, TX for a year and a bit) stopped in Hawaii for about 14 hours, so I left the airport for a bit and came back - biggest cocktease of my life. Would defs go back but too spenny for the $AUD.

If you yanks want a similar experience, I'd defs recommend SE Asia. - some of the most beautiful parts of the world there and you live like kings on the $AUD, so on $USD it would be another level.

Take a xan if you can get one - feel pretty good for the first few hours and just sleep the rest.

The joys of my team never end. Seriously, my fandom for them is one of the most perplexing things about myself. Pure cognitive dissonance at its finest.

    The rivalry is back on

replying to a CarpetElf post late, part 2:

    I think I’d take Indy’s WR room over Jacksonville’s

and by that, I mean, I’m more bullish on the randos Indy has at the bottom of the depth chart than I have been in previous years because Matt Ryan does an especially good job of helping guys develop like Gage, Zaccheus, etc, and I have no real reason to say that that couldn’t be Pierce or Campbell if he ever stays on the field, or the beeg boys they have at the back end of the depth chart (Dulin, Strachan, Patmon)

Pittman > Kirk is probably the only direct comparison I can make to favor IND since there’s like 5 different WR3s on the Jags right now and the Colts have a WR2 and bunch of WR4s 5s and 6s, but I mostly expect growth out of a couple of the Indy ones and mostly expect Jacksonville to cut all their guys within the next 3 years and go after the next shiny new toys

  11. If claypool actually progresses and Pickens / Austin are as good as advertised then baby the Steelers have a WR stew going

i think it’s close but I agree. Y’all have a better #1 guy, we have better secondary options. Y’all having a better TE room puts you over the edge, even if we’re only measuring WRs that still means the Colts WRs are going to have less attention from the defense / slightly less pressure to get open (which is true of the Colts having a WR1 and the Jags not, as well.)

when has Mike Tomlin ever NOT had deadly receivers though? Fact is the man can coach an offense.

It’s disgusting and heinous but honestly let him tell on himself. He’s getting too confident because the first wave of cases got dismissed. That means absolutely nothing to these next few cases. The more he gloats the more guilty he’s gonna look to people who have been trying to blind themselves.

In case anyone wanted proof of my claim the Steelers superbowl against the Kurt Warner Cardinals could’ve gone way differently if a crucial call before halftime wasn’t missed:

That right there is CLEARLY an illegal block in the back, and the replay angle gives you an even more obvious look at it.

There were 7 seconds left in the half and that block sprung Harrison’s TD return just before half time, rather than forcing the Steelers to kick a 50 yard field goal when Harrison would’ve got dropped at the 32/33 yard line. And if the penalty gets called they lose 10 yards, lose field goal range, go into the half only up 10-7.

Couldn’t get a good screenshot because it happens so fast but this shows the Cardinal guy falling directly onto his stomach with the blocker behind him, which would not happen on a legal block. And this angle shows it happens right where he would’ve pinned Harrison against the sideline and forced him to go down or out of bounds

I have no desire to go back and rewatch it but I remember thinking the Seahawks/Steelers Super Bowl was the worst officiated game I’d ever seen. I wonder if that holds up.

Yeah the highlight of this play popped up in my feed today and I always hate how much this play gets celebrated as one of the best Super Bowl plays of all time because

    1) everybody missing that obvious call that happened in the middle of both camera angles
    2) I wanted Warner to win another SB
