This is kick ass. And Kara is gonna kick cancer’s ass.

I’ve talked about what it meant going through cancer treatment while Nate Solder was off winning Super Bowls after beating the same cancer so I’m glad she’s finding some similar motivation.

Also Bills fans annoy the fuck out of me but man do they also kick ass sometimes.

Ehhhh it’s gonna be kinda a tough conversation because I don’t really have a lot of great work to be proud of since they don’t really let me do anything haha. The talk is basically gonna be “I can be doing a lot more? LET ME”

 

If it makes you feel any better, most entry level office / corporate jobs have a starting salary that is comparable if not higher than the best restaurant jobs I’ve ever had

granted you work less than 40 hour weeks in a restaurant but I’d argue you’re more exhausted anyway. 30-35 hours in a restaurant actually is a lotta labor and I def still come home tired af (let alone having to have two jobs to put away money / having to work while in school)

Like I know it sucks to feel stuck @EntryLevelDave but it can always be worse, I’m 31 almost 32 and just now getting to your level haha.

Keep pushing and trying my dude it’s never a reflection of who you actually are, more so how assertive you were willing to risk being and/or how much you’re deadass willing and determined to leave a comfortable situation if it has no future. If they reject this request it might be time to have faith that your potential will be more acknowledged and appreciated elsewhere

 

In my experience, “let me do more work” is a very easy sell

“let me do more work and then give me the title and pay bump associated with it once I prove I can handle it” is a much harder sell

 

Haha well it’s definitely the second but my company is absurd with cash. We throw money around like crazy so idk if it’s gonna be THAT rough. We’re a private company with just stupid amounts of venture cash haha
