I mean I'm not saying he is undraftable now, but I am not taking him round 1 or early round 2

  4. I really can't see the Panthers making that mistake again. I think we'll be aggressive in the QB market, but for the bigger names (Russ, Rodgers, Watson). They'll strikeout with all 3 and that's honestly what I'd prefer. Carr is the only guy potentially on the market that I think is both realistic, as far as what we'd have to give up, and a good move.

I'd much rather spend in FA to get a couple OL and then draft a QB.

Nashville’s stadium is already in a dope spot though I can’t imagine they’d relocate to a new one??

  13. The price didn't unexpectedly skyrocket. The cost of steel, wood, concrete, and labor have gone way up since the pandemic started.

Yes, Wentz shredding Philly's secondary two times a year would be incredible.

Did the Browns have issues with receivers separating?

Fields and Wilson both definitely held the ball too long in spots, but they also have awful supporting casts and their interior OLs had at least one revolving door.

Wilson was throwing to Denzel Mims, Jeff Smith, and Keelan Cole in that Buffalo game where he took 8 sacks. Berrios, Cole, and Mims started against Miami when he was sacked 6 times. 14 sacks in two games without a healthy skill group. Continuity/trust plus a lack of separation killed him in the pocket in those games. I'd rather him eat it and take the sack than throw awful picks though.

Yeah I feel like the only QB that this reflects really poorly on is Baker. Maybe a little on Tannehill as well, but hard to blame the young guys, and with Lamar + Russ it just comes with their styles of play.

Feeling so happy for Tony Boselli getting his recognition

apparently John Hannah called him the best tackle he’s ever seen and Anthony Munoz said he was the best of the bunch who played during and after him. I also found a 2017 Sports Illustrated public poll where viewers ranked him second all time behind Munoz and ahead of Art Shell, Jonathan Ogden, Orlando Pace, Bruce Matthews and Willie Roaf

didn’t realize he was acknowledged this widely but he is

  23. This isn’t meant as a brag because it’d be a lame one, but my dad has somehow struck up a friendship with Boselli to the point where they were texting the night he got voted in and I have no clue how that friendship happened haha

Boselli was the second football player I ever met. I met him at a boat show in Hawaii my dad took me to right after the 2000 Pro Bowl - my family was stationed at a military base on Oahu for two years of my childhood. Really nice guy who was very approachable, and no one else there recognized him right away cause we might have been the only Jags fans there, lol

I think I’ve met like 4 long enough to have conversations with them but I’ve met like 14 total if you include in passing

Greg Jackson (was on the 1990 Super Bowl Giants) was the first NFL player I’ve met. He was at my aunt and uncle’s wedding reception in 1997 cause im pretty sure my uncle’s firm had represented him once. I was 7 and the wedding reception was in NOLA. I had literally just performed a rap song I wrote on a napkin about Cruisin USA the video game, and then asked the jazz / R&B backing band to support me (it was corny but I was 7 so everyone still cheered / egged me on lol.) so I was feeling like a hotshot and he said “my man great performance up there you were killing it” somewhat patronizingly lol

I remember asking what is the most important skill for a safety to have, thinking he was gonna say reading the quarterback or something related to coverage …. His answer? “Gotta love contact. Gotta love hittin and hittin hard. That’s rule number one.” And it definitely altered my, at the time, naive perspective on football and how violent it actually is haha. Like, I knew the bigger guys loved to hit but I didn’t realize that was a prerequisite for smaller DBs too. Also the only time I’ve ever seen a SuperBowl ring in person.
