I got talked out of thinking he was generational because everyone I said that to said I was being biased about LSU offense as a whole lol. My take legitimately was that they had two generational WRs and that was a big reason why Burrow developed such an advanced skillset so quickly. Everyone was like “nah JJ is just a slot receiver he’s more of a WR2” which I didn’t agree with but I didn’t wanna look stupid as the only guy clamoring for him in the top 10 either. At some point you have to acknowledge what his value actually is, and he became my top target at pick 20 cause his market value was lower than I thought it should be.

Realistic for the Jets to trade pick 35 and a conditional 3rd or 4th tied to production/games played to Dallas for Amari Cooper?

They have Lamb, Gallup (albeit coming off injury), and C Wilson. Zeke and Dak are big homegrown price tags they’re already tied to. Cowboys are ~$21 mil over the cap right now.

I think it’s perfect, but I’m also a Jets fan (yes, feel bad for me) so I could be biased in terms of comp.

Listen, if I’m a GM and I think a guy is a generational talent, but all my intel tells me he’s falling to pick 45? I’m targeting him around pick 30-40 and trying to get him at value still , not around pick 1

Again, “be aggressive” simply means prioritize them early. We had an extra first round pick and in all those receipts I wanted a WR as one of them. Most of those scenarios just involved Lamb first, but even in my post about pick 9, “trade down and take Jefferson instead” was one of my options.
