i didn’t say high first. I never anywhere in this said high first. I clarified explicitly that I meant just high in the draft, like, top 45-50 picks

 

It needs to be prioritized and the Jags for example have not been doing that

 

I would say Corey Davis has turned out alright, but not worth the first round pick it took to draft him

 

I pointed out specific WR targets in 2020 and 2021 with our Jalen Ramsey picks that would’ve made our team a lot better than who we took

 

Idk, they've always been pretty active at adding receivers. Just haven't hit.

 

Yeah the Jags absolutely blew those picks and they really do need to prioritize WR.

Idk how Marvin Jones looked this last season. I thought he was a solid signing for them (although it was a strange fit for Jones at this point hind career), but the stats may indicate otherwise. Then again, I take all offensive Jags stats with a grain of salt because that offense was abysmal

 

I don’t like the “always bargain bin shop WRs” approach. I think you only do that when you already have a clear 1 who has proven it for more than one season

Yeah I think going for WR in the top 3 rounds or so is good, seems like there's a lot of hits in R2 in the past decade

If the Jags drafted Davante Adams he’d be nowhere near what he is with Rodgers. Picking them late doesn’t work as well for shitty offenses

 

See y'all can say this now with hindsight and stuff but at time time Laviska Shenault was considered a R1 guy and probably a high R1 guy if not for injury and then when y'all picked him it was the "steal of the draft"

Not to say he's a bust or anything obviously but that is VERY much getting a guy considered a top guy, even if it was in a later round
