i think in these cases the team they go to has a lot to do with it.

like Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill were both late third prospects and Cooper Kupp was early third, but idk that they have the careers they had if they didn’t go to stable offenses where they had years to develop their skills in elite offenses. And Kupp and Adams (just as two examples) were late bloomers!

Usually you do gotta go first round if you’re a bad offense tryin to draft WRs to directly improve your offensive game flow - Mike Evans, Ja’Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, all of the Alabama receivers (Julio, Cooper, and then Jeudy/Waddle/Smith all heading that way), OBJ, DeAndre Hopkins, Stefon Diggs, Ceedee Lamb etc etc etc. even some good offenses do it, like the Saints with Brandin Cooks and then Michael Thomas. Very rarely do you have a Deebo Samuel who Is drafted outside the first that totally transforms an offense that wasn’t already good.

It currently doesn't exist. You're the third person to join. Max is good. Fantasy draft?

Steelers are an exception I guess, every mid round receiver they touch turns to gold lol

and then Belichick and Carroll are two of those very rare coaches that can win without good WRs (plus Carrolll got LUCKY with DK metcalf and Tyler Lockett sliding so far)

  10. Oh shit are we going to do a fantasy draft? Lol that’d be cool

Depends on what we all decide. Assuming it's more than just you, Tyler, Spiffa0, and I haha

It’s about as close to a rule you can get. The percentage of great WRs drafted in the first or high second versus later is very high compared to a lot of positions

It's literally not though. It's actually one of the positions with the best value throughout the draft.

I think the debate about when to draft WRs is different now though than it was, say, in 2013. I think teams have begun to prioritize the position more than they used to, which bumps up prospects as a result. Obviously, you can find plenty of good players on days two and three of the draft, but I do think it’s an interesting conversation and I know I’ve seen historical data posted in articles or on Twitter before. Would love to see some of that again sometime

yeah, for secondary / additional weapons, but I’m talking game changing threats. Every team needs at least one and the majority of them are taken early. What you are talking about is essentially supporting cast and depth, which yeah WR is abundant because WR is one of the two deepest positions on every NFL roster. That’s not because the best talent tends to fall. It’s literally just the position having a higher volume of roles to fill

Okay but like that's still not true haha. You don't HAVE to spend a high first. That's just very easily disproven
