I haven’t heard a single off the field issue for Jackson. And the dude is a menace on the field.

 

That’s a good play. Defensive end made a great read and the fullback didn’t get to the backer.

Or that left tackle is just a terrible player.

Probably a little bit of both.

 

Yeah whole point of that play was a backside “trap” block by the FB and he missed the DE

but I’m also not sure I like that play design. Kinda tough for the LT to get to the second level when that linebacker’s job 9 times out of 10 will be to set the edge - you see how he has to run inside of the DE and can’t get back outside at that angle. Trap blocks are very timing specific - the blocking has to be coordinated perfectly or the play is going nowhere. I think they should pull a guard or a center to execute that backside block instead so the trap block doesn’t just lead him straight into another defender.

 

Yeah jsut a good play by the DE. Watching it again, the DE flattening his angle and cutting off the RB’s assignment in the A gap forced him to move to the B gap. If the RB could’ve gone interior and not bounced slightly outward he could’ve avoided the second tackler entirely and had the LT in front of him. Having to change gaps fucked all the angles up

Yeah, just saying there’s a lot less talented writers there nowadays, unfortunately. One of my favorite hockey writers who was there got fired and then he got fired from his radio job a month or two later. Really sucks.
